ABOUT

My name is Lauren and I'm an A-level student from Leeds/UK. I've always been a big fan of reading and due to that, from a young age I got into writing. I'd spend all my spare time either reading books or writing my own and I've got to say that I do still enjoy it. Combining that with my passion for media, film and a good rant I thought that starting a blogspot just for me to review would be a great idea so here I am.  Aside from reading and films I also enjoy music, gaming and food. I always feel a bit out of place when I mention gaming because usually when you think of girls gaming you think of the posers who try to impress boys but I'm not one of them; I do it for my own fun and enjoyment. But I've always been drawn more to games with good story lines you have to follow (LA Noire, GTA and Skyrim for example) rather than aimless shooting or racing. Now music is a huge part of my life for me - I know a lot of my friends through bands and gigs and it's just become a big part of me. I love live music and festivals, when you're there it kind of feels like you know everyone already and people help each other out when they lose things or fall down. Everyone I have ever met at a gig has just been so helpful and friendly. I just love it. Of course though there are some exceptions to this as some people think they're above/better than everyone else - mainly at hardcore gigs. I'm not even sure where to begin on the subject of food. Food for me signifies culture. I love trying new foods from different places and experiencing the different cultures that come along with it; my favourites are italian, japenese, thai, chinese, south african and indian. I love it when there's food markets in town because there's always stalls decorated beautifully with the details from that specific country and the people serving are always so happy to see that you're excited about their lifestyle/society.
